Stephen Colbert Punks Daft Punk

This is why giant media conglomerates are a bad thing. Often times the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Both MTV and Comedy Central are both part of the viacom media conglomerate. So Daft Punk couldn’t be on The Colbert Report because they’re going to make a surprise appearance on the VMAs over on MTV. I guess it’s no longer a surprise. So what does Colbert do? Colbert got Hugh Laurie, Jeff Bridges, Jimmy Fallon, Matt Damon, Bryan Cranston, Henry Kissinger & the Rockettes to fill the Daft Punk void.
If you ask me, The Colbert Report is cooler and hipper than anything on MTV right now. When was the last time you seriously tuned into anything on MTV (on purpose)?

Colbert then proclaims Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines is the song of the summer.
